Neuropsychology is a discipline within the neurosciences that combines neurology and psychology and studies the relationship between the brain and behaviour

It is centred on the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of patients who have suffered an injury, wound or anomaly in the central nervous system that has caused damage to cognitive, psychological, emotional or individual behaviour processes.

These effects or deficits can be caused by head trauma, stroke, brain tumours, neurodegenerative diseases (for example, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, etc.) or developmental diseases (epilepsy, cerebral palsy, deficit disorder / hyperactivity, etc.).
